Community Rules

What's allowed

• Free items and Buy Nothing offers
• Household goods, furniture, tools, clothing
• Books, toys, electronics in working condition
• Community announcements and notices
• Lost and found posts
• Wanted posts

What's not allowed

• Weapons, ammunition, or firearm accessories
• Illegal drugs or controlled substances
• Prescription medication
• Recalled or unsafe items
• Stolen goods
• Animals or pet sales
• Adult services or content
• Counterfeit goods
• Hazardous materials
• Payment links of any kind (PayPal, Venmo, Cash App, Square, etc.)
• Anything illegal under local, state, or federal law

For Sale posts may optionally link to the same item's listing on a marketplace like eBay, Facebook Marketplace, or Etsy — but never to a page that collects payment directly.

Safety guidelines

• Meet in a public place when exchanging items
• Do not share financial account information
• Do not send money or deposits in advance
• Do not post your exact home address in a listing
• Trust your instincts — if something seems off, it probably is

Moderation

All posts are reviewed before they appear. Posts that violate these rules will be removed. Repeat violations may result in your email being blocked.

If you see a post that violates these rules, use the Report button on the listing.
